PM Modi’s France-US Visit: AI Collaboration in Focus

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has embarked on a crucial two-nation visit to France and the US, with a primary focus on strengthening AI cooperation between India and these global powers. Kicking off his tour on Monday, Modi arrived in France, where he will co-chair the ‘AI Action Summit’ in Paris alongside French President Emmanuel Macron. Following this, he will travel to Washington on February 12 for his first bilateral meeting with US President Donald Trump in his second term.

पेरिस में होने वाले ‘एआई एक्शन समिट’ में पीएम मोदी और मैक्रों के अलावा कई वैश्विक नेता और टेक जगत की प्रमुख हस्तियां हिस्सा लेंगी। इस समिट का उद्देश्य एआई तकनीक को सुरक्षित, भरोसेमंद और समावेशी तरीके से विकसित करने पर विचार-विमर्श करना है। अमेरिकी उपराष्ट्रपति जेडी वांस, चीनी उप-प्रधानमंत्री झांग गुओकिंग, ओपनएआई के सीईओ सैम ऑल्टमैन और गूगल के सुंदर पिचाई भी इस शिखर सम्मेलन में शामिल होंगे।

इसके अलावा, मोदी और मैक्रों बंदरगाह शहर मार्सेई में एक नई भारतीय वाणिज्य दूतावास का उद्घाटन करेंगे और इंटरनेशनल थर्मोन्यूक्लियर एक्सपेरिमेंटल रिएक्टर (ITER) परियोजना स्थल का दौरा करेंगे, जहां भारत भी एक साझेदार देश के रूप में जुड़ा हुआ है।

AI Summit in France and Strengthening Strategic Ties

The ‘AI Action Summit’ in Paris will witness participation from key global leaders and tech industry giants, including PM Modi and President Macron. The summit aims to foster discussions on making AI development safe, trustworthy, and inclusive. US Vice President JD Vance, Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Guoqing, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, and Google’s Sundar Pichai are among the attendees.

Additionally, Modi and Macron will visit the port city of Marseille, where they will inaugurate a new Indian consulate and tour the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) project site, in which India is a consortium partner.

अमेरिका में ट्रंप के साथ बैठक और द्विपक्षीय मुद्दों पर चर्चा

फ्रांस की यात्रा के बाद पीएम मोदी अमेरिका जाएंगे, जहां वे राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप से मुलाकात करेंगे। ट्रंप के दूसरे कार्यकाल में यह उनकी पहली बैठक होगी, जिसमें व्यापार, रक्षा, प्रौद्योगिकी, ऊर्जा और सप्लाई चेन जैसे प्रमुख विषयों पर चर्चा की जाएगी। मोदी ने कहा कि वे इस दौरे के जरिए भारत-अमेरिका साझेदारी को और मजबूत करने के लिए उत्साहित हैं।

इसके अलावा, हाल ही में अमेरिका से भारत भेजे गए 104 अवैध प्रवासियों की स्थिति पर भी चर्चा होने की संभावना है। भारत ने अमेरिका द्वारा प्रवासियों को हथकड़ियों और बेड़ियों में जकड़कर भेजे जाने पर अपनी चिंता व्यक्त की है। मोदी इस मुद्दे को वॉशिंगटन में उठाएंगे, क्योंकि अमेरिका जल्द ही 600 और प्रवासियों को वापस भेजने की योजना बना रहा है।

Meeting with Trump and Key Bilateral Discussions in the US

After his France visit, PM Modi will head to the US, where he will meet President Donald Trump. This will be their first meeting in Trump’s second term, and discussions will cover key areas such as trade, defense, technology, energy, and supply chain resilience. Modi expressed his enthusiasm for strengthening the India-US partnership further through this visit.

Additionally, the recent deportation of 104 illegal Indian migrants from the US, many of whom were shackled during transit, is expected to be a topic of discussion. India has raised concerns over the treatment of deportees, and Modi is likely to address this issue in Washington, especially as the US prepares to deport nearly 600 more individuals.

ट्रंप और मोदी की इस मुलाकात में व्यापार और निवेश को बढ़ाने के साथ-साथ भारत द्वारा अमेरिकी रक्षा उपकरणों की खरीद पर भी बातचीत होगी। हाल ही में हुई फोन कॉल के दौरान ट्रंप ने भारत से “न्यायसंगत व्यापारिक संबंध” स्थापित करने और अमेरिकी रक्षा हार्डवेयर की खरीद बढ़ाने का आग्रह किया था।

पहले कार्यकाल के दौरान मोदी ने 2017 और 2019 में अमेरिका का दौरा किया था, और ट्रंप के दोबारा चुने जाने के तुरंत बाद उन्हें बधाई देने वाले पहले वैश्विक नेताओं में शामिल थे। इस बार की बैठक को दोनों देशों के रिश्तों को अगले स्तर पर ले जाने के अवसर के रूप में देखा जा रहा है।

Trade & Defense Deals on the Agenda

Trade and investment will be a major part of discussions between Trump and Modi, along with India’s potential purchase of more US-made defense equipment. In a recent phone call, Trump urged India to establish a “fair bilateral trading relationship” and increase its defense purchases from the US.

During Trump’s first term, Modi visited the US in 2017 and 2019 and was among the first global leaders to congratulate Trump after his reelection. This upcoming meeting is expected to further elevate India-US relations.
