Opposition’s Rift Turns Boon for BJP: AAP-Congress Feud Backfires
दिल्ली में बिखरा विपक्ष, भाजपा ने मारी बाज़ी!
दिल्ली विधानसभा चुनाव 2025 में भारतीय जनता पार्टी (भाजपा) ने प्रचंड जीत दर्ज कर 70 में से 48 सीटें अपने नाम कर लीं। आम आदमी पार्टी (AAP) को करारी शिकस्त मिली, और वह मात्र 22 सीटों पर सिमट गई। वहीं, कांग्रेस की हालत और खराब रही, जो लगातार तीसरी बार खाता खोलने में नाकाम रही।
शिवसेना (यूबीटी) के मुखपत्र ‘सामना’ में छपे संपादकीय में इस हार के लिए AAP और कांग्रेस के आपसी टकराव को ज़िम्मेदार बताया गया। संपादकीय ने तंज कसते हुए कहा, “जब विपक्षी दल आपस में ही लड़ते रहेंगे, तो गठबंधन की ज़रूरत ही क्या है? बस लड़ते रहो और भाजपा को सत्ता सौंप दो!”

BJP Sweeps Delhi as AAP-Congress Rift Widens
In the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured a landslide victory, winning 48 out of 70 seats, ousting the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) from power. The Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP suffered a massive defeat, managing only 22 seats, while the Congress continued its downward spiral, failing to win a single seat for the third consecutive time.
An editorial in Shiv Sena (UBT)’s mouthpiece ‘Saamana’ attributed this defeat to the internal conflicts between AAP and Congress. “When opposition parties fight amongst themselves, what’s the need for alliances? Just keep fighting and make it easier for BJP!” the editorial mocked.

महाराष्ट्र और हरियाणा में भी विपक्ष ने दोहराई वही गलती
संपादकीय ने महाराष्ट्र और हरियाणा में भी विपक्षी दलों की विफलता को उजागर किया। महाराष्ट्र में 2024 के विधानसभा चुनावों में भी विपक्षी पार्टियों की खींचतान ने भाजपा की राह आसान कर दी थी। इसी तरह, हरियाणा में भी कांग्रेस की अंदरूनी कलह ने उसे नुकसान पहुंचाया और भाजपा को जीत हासिल हुई।

जम्मू-कश्मीर के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री उमर अब्दुल्ला ने भी इस स्थिति पर चुटकी लेते हुए कहा, “और लड़ो आपस में!!!” उनकी टिप्पणी से यह साफ़ झलकता है कि विपक्षी दलों के आपसी मतभेदों का सीधा फायदा भाजपा को मिला।
Similar Setbacks in Maharashtra and Haryana
The editorial also pointed out that similar opposition infighting led to BJP’s victories in Maharashtra’s 2024 state assembly elections and Haryana’s previous assembly polls. The inability of opposition parties to present a united front ultimately worked in favor of the ruling party.
Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also took a swipe at AAP and Congress, sarcastically commenting, “Keep on fighting each other!!!” His remarks underscored how internal disputes within the opposition paved the way for BJP’s success.
अन्ना हज़ारे पर भी निशाना, विपक्ष की एकता पर सवाल
सामना ने सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता अन्ना हज़ारे पर भी निशाना साधा, जिन्होंने हाल ही में अरविंद केजरीवाल की आलोचना की थी। संपादकीय में कहा गया कि अन्ना हज़ारे ने मोदी सरकार की कथित भ्रष्टाचार से जुड़ी नीतियों पर चुप्पी साध रखी है।
“जब मोदी सरकार पर भ्रष्टाचार के आरोप लगते हैं, तो अन्ना हज़ारे चुप क्यों रहते हैं? क्या राफेल डील और अदानी मामले में कोई घोटाला नहीं था?” संपादकीय में सवाल उठाया गया।
Anna Hazare Under Fire, Opposition Unity Questioned
The editorial also criticized veteran social activist Anna Hazare for his recent remarks against Arvind Kejriwal. It highlighted that Hazare, who once led an anti-corruption movement that helped Kejriwal rise to power, has remained silent on alleged corruption scandals under the Modi government.
“Why does Anna Hazare stay silent when Modi’s government faces corruption allegations? Was there no scam in the Rafale deal or Adani controversy?” the editorial questioned.
गठबंधन की कोई ज़रूरत नहीं, बस लड़ते रहो!
संपादकीय ने तंज कसते हुए कहा कि अगर विपक्ष इसी तरह आपसी लड़ाई में व्यस्त रहेगा, तो भाजपा को रोकना नामुमकिन हो जाएगा। महाराष्ट्र में सीट बंटवारे को लेकर कांग्रेस ने देरी कर दी, जिससे भाजपा को फायदा हुआ।
“अगर विपक्ष को दिल्ली चुनावों से कोई सीख नहीं मिली, तो वह खुद तानाशाही शासन को मजबूत करने में मदद कर रहे हैं। ऐसे में गंगा में डुबकी लगाने की भी ज़रूरत नहीं, यह तो पहले ही पुण्य का काम हो जाएगा!” संपादकीय में कटाक्ष किया गया।
No Need for Alliances, Just Keep Fighting!
Taking a sarcastic tone, ‘Saamana’ suggested that if the opposition parties continued their infighting, defeating BJP would become impossible. The Congress’s delay in seat-sharing talks in Maharashtra only painted a picture of disarray, ultimately helping the BJP.
“If the opposition doesn’t learn from the Delhi elections, they themselves will be responsible for strengthening autocracy in India. In that case, they won’t even need to take a dip in the Ganges for redemption—it will already be a noble deed!” the editorial remarked mockingly.
