अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप ने सोमवार को बताया कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी फरवरी में अमेरिका की यात्रा करेंगे। यह बयान उस टेलीफोनिक बातचीत के बाद आया जो ट्रंप और मोदी के बीच हुई थी। यह बातचीत ट्रंप के 20 जनवरी को दूसरी बार राष्ट्रपति पद की शपथ लेने के बाद उनकी पहली वार्ता थी।

रिपोर्ट्स के मुताबिक, ट्रंप ने कहा, “पीएम मोदी फरवरी में अमेरिका का दौरा करेंगे।” इस बातचीत के बाद कूटनीतिक हलकों में दोनों नेताओं की जल्द मुलाकात की संभावनाओं पर चर्चा शुरू हो गई है।

US President Donald Trump announced on Monday that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit the United States in February. This statement followed a telephonic conversation between the two leaders, their first since Trump was sworn in for his second term on January 20.

“PM Modi will visit the US sometime in February,” Trump was quoted as saying by news agency Reuters. The call has sparked discussions in diplomatic circles about a possible early meeting between the two leaders.

राष्ट्रपति ट्रंप ने कहा कि उन्होंने पीएम मोदी से आव्रजन पर भी चर्चा की। ट्रंप ने उम्मीद जताई कि भारत ‘अवैध प्रवासियों’ को वापस लेने के लिए उचित कदम उठाएगा।

यह भी माना जा रहा है कि अमेरिका में अवैध प्रवासियों के खिलाफ ट्रंप की सख्त नीति उनके फिर से राष्ट्रपति बनने का अहम कारण रही। ट्रंप के पिछले कार्यकाल में डेमोक्रेट जो बाइडन के हाथों हारने के चार साल बाद, उन्होंने व्हाइट हाउस में वापसी की है।

Meanwhile, Trump noted that immigration was a key topic during the call with PM Modi. He expressed confidence that India would take appropriate steps to address the issue of repatriating ‘illegal immigrants.’ The US President’s firm stance on illegal immigration is widely believed to have played a pivotal role in his re-election.

पीएम मोदी की पिछली अमेरिकी यात्रा

प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने पिछली बार सितंबर में अमेरिका का दौरा किया था। वह चौथे क्वाड नेताओं के शिखर सम्मेलन में भाग लेने गए थे, जिसकी मेजबानी तत्कालीन राष्ट्रपति जो बाइडन ने की थी। इस सम्मेलन में ऑस्ट्रेलिया के प्रधानमंत्री एंथनी अल्बनीज और जापान के तत्कालीन प्रधानमंत्री फुमियो किशिदा भी शामिल हुए थे।

PM Modi’s last visit to the US was in September, where he attended the fourth Quad Leaders’ Summit hosted by then-President Joe Biden. The summit also saw the participation of Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Japan’s then-Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.

इसके अलावा, मोदी ने न्यूयॉर्क में संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा के ‘भविष्य के शिखर सम्मेलन’ को भी संबोधित किया था।

Additionally, PM Modi addressed the ‘Summit of the Future’ at the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

व्हाइट हाउस का बयान

व्हाइट हाउस ने ट्रंप-मोदी वार्ता को ‘उत्पादक’ बताया। दोनों नेताओं ने भारत और अमेरिका के बीच सहयोग को और गहरा करने पर जोर दिया।

According to a White House statement, the call between President Trump and PM Modi was ‘productive,’ focusing on ways to strengthen and deepen bilateral cooperation.

बयान में यह भी कहा गया कि दोनों नेताओं ने पीएम मोदी की संभावित अमेरिका यात्रा पर चर्चा की। “नेताओं ने व्हाइट हाउस में प्रधानमंत्री मोदी की यात्रा की योजना पर चर्चा की, जो हमारे देशों के बीच मित्रता और रणनीतिक संबंधों की मजबूती को दर्शाता है। दोनों नेताओं ने अमेरिका-भारत रणनीतिक साझेदारी और इंडो-पैसिफिक क्वाड साझेदारी को आगे बढ़ाने की प्रतिबद्धता जताई।”

The statement added, “The leaders discussed plans for PM Modi to visit the White House, underscoring the strength of the friendship and strategic ties between our nations. Both leaders emphasized their commitment to advancing the US-India strategic partnership and the Indo-Pacific Quad partnership, with India set to host Quad Leaders later this year.”
