Agra’s Kailash Mandir Corridor Phase 2: ₹15 Crore Development Plan Unveiled
आगरा के ऐतिहासिक कैलाश मंदिर कॉरिडोर के दूसरे चरण में भव्य निर्माण कार्य की योजना बनाई गई है। इस चरण में करीब ₹15 करोड़ की लागत से घाट, यमुना दर्शन स्थल, भंडार गृह, पाथवे, सोलर पावर सिस्टम और स्टोन बेंच का निर्माण किया जाएगा। मंगलवार को मंडलायुक्त शैलेंद्र कुमार सिंह की अध्यक्षता में परियोजना की समीक्षा बैठक हुई, जिसमें विकास कार्यों की रूपरेखा पर चर्चा की गई। धार्मिक पर्यटन को बढ़ावा देने के लिए इस कॉरिडोर का सौंदर्यीकरण तीन चरणों में किया जा रहा है।

Agra’s historic Kailash Mandir Corridor is set for a grand transformation in its second phase, with ₹15 crore allocated for key developments. This phase includes the construction of a large ghat, Yamuna viewing site, storage facility, pathways, solar power system, and stone benches. A review meeting, chaired by Divisional Commissioner Shailendra Kumar Singh, took place on Tuesday to discuss the project’s progress. The corridor’s beautification and expansion are being carried out in three phases to boost religious tourism.
पहले चरण में मुख्य द्वार और घाट का निर्माण पूरा, अब दूसरा चरण शुरू
पहले चरण में ₹4.11 करोड़ की लागत से मुख्य द्वार और यमुना किनारे एक घाट का निर्माण कार्य पहले ही पूरा किया जा चुका है। अब दूसरे चरण में एक और बड़े घाट का निर्माण होगा, जिसमें यमुना दर्शन स्थल, नाली, सोलर पावर सिस्टम और बैठने के लिए स्टोन बेंच शामिल हैं। प्रशासन ने स्पष्ट किया कि शासनादेश जारी होते ही निविदा प्रक्रिया पूरी कर निर्माण कार्य प्रारंभ कर दिया जाएगा।

Phase 1 Completed, Phase 2 to Begin Soon
The first phase, completed at a cost of ₹4.11 crore, saw the construction of the main entrance and a ghat along the Yamuna River. The second phase will now focus on building a larger ghat, along with a Yamuna viewing area, drainage system, solar power installations, and stone seating. Authorities confirmed that work will commence as soon as the tender process is finalized following government approval.

तीसरे चरण में होगा घाट का सौंदर्यीकरण, पार्किंग और डेकोरेटिव लाइटिंग
तीसरे चरण के लिए कार्ययोजना तैयार की जा रही है, जिसमें पार्किंग, स्ट्रीट लाइट, घाट का सौंदर्यीकरण, फर्नीचर, कियोस्क और डेकोरेटिव लाइटिंग का समावेश होगा। मंडलायुक्त शैलेंद्र कुमार सिंह ने निर्देश दिए कि कैलाश मंदिर तक जाने वाले राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग के दोनों ओर वृक्षारोपण, बैरिकेडिंग और सोलर लाइटिंग की व्यवस्था की जाए। साथ ही, वन विभाग के क्षेत्र को ईको-टूरिज्म पार्क या दर्शनीय स्थल के रूप में विकसित करने का प्रस्ताव तैयार किया जाए।
Phase 3 to Include Ghat Beautification, Parking & Decorative Lighting
Plans for the third phase are currently being drafted, focusing on parking, street lighting, ghat beautification, furniture, kiosks, and decorative lighting. Divisional Commissioner Shailendra Kumar Singh has instructed authorities to ensure tree plantation, barricading, and solar lighting along the national highway leading to Kailash Mandir. Additionally, a proposal will be prepared to develop the forest department’s area as an eco-tourism park or a major tourist attraction.
साफ-सफाई और पर्यावरण संरक्षण पर विशेष जोर
बैठक में कैलाश मंदिर महंत निर्मल गिरी जी और अशोक कुलश्रेष्ठ जी ने भी अपने सुझाव रखे, जिन्हें अंतिम कार्ययोजना में शामिल करने के निर्देश दिए गए। प्रशासन ने यमुना में किसी भी प्रकार की गंदगी रोकने, सिंगल यूज़ प्लास्टिक पर प्रतिबंध लगाने और दुकानदारों व श्रद्धालुओं को जागरूक करने की योजना बनाई है। मंदिर की नियमित सफाई के लिए एक स्थायी सफाईकर्मी की नियुक्ति की जाएगी।
Focus on Cleanliness & Environmental Protection
During the meeting, Kailash Mandir Mahant Nirmal Giri Ji and Ashok Kulshreshtha Ji provided suggestions, which will be incorporated into the final plan. The administration has outlined measures to prevent pollution in the Yamuna, enforce a ban on single-use plastic, and raise awareness among shopkeepers and devotees. Additionally, a dedicated sanitation worker will be appointed to maintain the temple’s cleanliness.

इस बैठक में जिलाधिकारी अरविंद मलप्पा बंगारी, डीएफओ आदर्श कुमार, क्षेत्रीय पर्यटन अधिकारी शक्ति सिंह, पीडब्ल्यूडी अधिशासी अभियंता, निर्मल गिरी, अशोक कुलश्रेष्ठ, शिवम गिरी समेत अन्य अधिकारी मौजूद रहे। सभी कार्यदायी संस्थाओं को निर्देश दिए गए कि कार्य समय पर और उच्च गुणवत्ता के साथ पूरे किए जाएं।

The meeting was attended by District Magistrate Arvind Malappa Bangari, DFO Adarsh Kumar, Regional Tourism Officer Shakti Singh, PWD Executive Engineer, Nirmal Giri, Ashok Kulshreshtha, Shivam Giri, and other officials. Authorities have been instructed to ensure timely and high-quality completion of all development work.
