अहमदाबाद, गुजरात में निर्माणाधीन साबरमती बुलेट ट्रेन स्टेशन पर शनिवार सुबह अचानक आग लग गई। यह स्टेशन भारत का पहला बुलेट ट्रेन टर्मिनल होगा, जिसमें अत्याधुनिक डिज़ाइन तत्व शामिल हैं। दमकल विभाग के अनुसार, सुबह करीब 6:30 बजे यह आग भड़की, जिसके बाद तुरंत 13 दमकल गाड़ियों को मौके पर भेजा गया। घंटों की मशक्कत के बाद आग पर काबू पा लिया गया।

नेशनल हाई-स्पीड रेल कॉर्पोरेशन लिमिटेड (NHSRCL) ने जानकारी दी कि आग स्टेशन के एक हिस्से की छत के शटरिंग क्षेत्र में लगी। प्रारंभिक जांच में सामने आया कि वेल्डिंग स्पार्क्स के कारण यह आग लगी हो सकती है। NHSRCL अधिकारियों के अनुसार, इस घटना में कोई हताहत नहीं हुआ है। हालांकि, आग के सटीक कारणों का पता लगाया जा रहा है।

A fire broke out early Saturday morning at the under-construction Sabarmati Bullet Train Station in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. This station is set to become India’s first-ever bullet train terminal, designed with state-of-the-art architectural elements.
According to the fire department, the blaze erupted at around 6:30 a.m., prompting an immediate response with 13 fire tenders dispatched to the scene. After several hours of efforts, the fire was brought under control.
The National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) issued a statement confirming that the fire broke out in the roof shuttering area of the station’s construction site. Initial assessments suggest that welding sparks from temporary shuttering work might have triggered the fire. Officials also confirmed that no injuries or casualties were reported, though an investigation is underway to determine the exact cause.

Officials from NHSRCL stated that they are actively monitoring the situation and assessing the extent of the damage caused by the fire. Notably, the Sabarmati Bullet Train Station is a crucial part of the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Project, spanning 508 kilometers across Gujarat (352 km) and Maharashtra (156 km). The project is being developed with financial and technical assistance from the Japanese government.
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw had shared a video showcasing the station’s modern architecture on X (formerly Twitter) in December 2023. This station is being built as a key hub for high-speed rail travel in India.
