Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is set to present her eighth consecutive Union Budget on Saturday, with the salaried class hoping for major relief in income tax rates and slabs to ease inflationary pressure. The Finance Ministry shared an update on X, stating that the minister met with secretaries and senior officials to finalize the Union Budget 2025-26 at her office in North Block, New Delhi.

कर्नाटक के मुख्यमंत्री सिद्धारमैया ने केंद्र सरकार से राज्य के योगदान को स्वीकार करने और संसाधनों के न्यायसंगत वितरण की मांग की है। उन्होंने कहा कि केंद्र राज्यों को सिर्फ राजस्व-स्रोत के रूप में न देखे, बल्कि उनके वित्तीय मुद्दों को भी उचित रूप से संबोधित करे।
