Election Commission Issues Strict Notice to Arvind Kejriwal: Seeks Detailed Response on Claim of Poisoned Water in Haryana

नई दिल्ली, 29 जनवरी 2025 – चुनाव आयोग ने आम आदमी पार्टी (AAP) के नेता और दिल्ली के पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल से उनकी उस टिप्पणी पर विस्तृत जवाब देने को कहा है, जिसमें उन्होंने हरियाणा सरकार पर यमुना नदी में “जहर मिलाने” का आरोप लगाया था। आयोग ने कहा कि उनकी यह टिप्पणी पहले दृष्टिकोण से विभिन्न समूहों के बीच दुश्मनी और अशांति को बढ़ावा देने वाली प्रतीत होती है। आयोग ने यह भी चेतावनी दी कि अगर केजरीवाल ने 31 जनवरी, शुक्रवार तक विस्तृत उत्तर नहीं दिया, तो वह बिना किसी और संदर्भ के उचित कदम उठाएंगे।
New Delhi, January 29, 2025 – The Election Commission (EC) has asked Arvind Kejriwal, leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and former Chief Minister of Delhi, to submit a detailed response regarding his claim that the Haryana government was “mixing poison” in the Yamuna River. The poll body stated that his remarks prima facie appeared to promote disharmony and unrest among different groups. The Commission warned that if Kejriwal does not provide a detailed response by 11 AM on January 31, Friday, it will take appropriate action without further reference.
चुनाव आयोग का पत्र
आयोग ने अपने पत्र में कहा, “आपके द्वारा दी गई प्रतिक्रिया के संदर्भ में, आयोग ने पाया है कि यमुना नदी में जहर मिलाने के आपके आरोप सार्वजनिक अशांति और विभिन्न समूहों के बीच दुश्मनी को बढ़ावा देने के रूप में प्रतीत होते हैं।” आयोग ने केजरीवाल से यह भी कहा कि उनके इस बयान से हरियाणा और दिल्ली के निवासियों के बीच संबंधों में दीर्घकालिक विभाजन हो सकता है।

In its letter, the Commission stated, “Regarding your response to your statement in question, the Commission has prima facie found your allegations about poisoning the Yamuna River as promoting public disorder and enmity between different groups.” The Commission further warned that his statements could result in lasting divisions between the residents of Haryana and Delhi.
प्रतिक्रिया का निर्देश
चुनाव आयोग ने अरविंद केजरीवाल से यह स्पष्ट करने के लिए कहा है कि हरियाणा सरकार द्वारा यमुना में मिलाए गए “जहर” के बारे में उनका आरोप किन तथ्यों और साक्ष्यों पर आधारित है। आयोग ने यह भी पूछा है कि वह किस प्रकार का जहर मानते हैं, उसका समर्थन करने वाली साक्ष्य क्या हैं, और यह जहरीला पानी कहां पाया गया था। दिल्ली जल बोर्ड के इंजीनियरों द्वारा इस मामले में किए गए उपायों के बारे में भी जानकारी देने को कहा गया है।
The Election Commission has asked Arvind Kejriwal to provide a detailed response clarifying the type of poison he claims was mixed in the Yamuna, the evidence supporting this claim, the location where it was detected, and the role of engineers from the Delhi Jal Board in addressing the issue.
यमुना में बढ़ते अमोनिया स्तर की बात
चुनाव आयोग ने केजरीवाल से यह भी कहा कि उनकी प्रतिक्रिया यमुना में बढ़ते अमोनिया स्तर के मौजूदा मामले से संबंधित नहीं होनी चाहिए, बल्कि केवल यमुना में “जहर मिलाने” के आरोपों पर आधारित होनी चाहिए।
The Election Commission also emphasized that Kejriwal’s response should focus exclusively on the claim of “poison being mixed” in the Yamuna, and not be related to the ongoing issue of rising ammonia levels in the river.
केजरीवाल का बयान
केजरीवाल ने बुधवार को चुनाव आयोग को अपनी प्रतिक्रिया में कहा था कि हाल ही में हरियाणा से प्राप्त कच्चा पानी “बेहद प्रदूषित और मानव स्वास्थ्य के लिए अत्यंत जहरीला” था।
In his response to the Commission on Wednesday, Kejriwal had stated that the raw water received from Haryana recently was “highly contaminated and extremely poisonous” for human health.
